Whatever your status or background, we invite you to join us in imagining what science and knowledge might look like in 30 years and to discuss the different ways of being a scientist, now and in the future.

The Interdisciplinary Thematic Institut for Hierarchical and Functional Materials (ITI HiFunMat), organizes a summer school from 1 to 4 July 2024, on the theme of 'Materials for the environment and the society'.
Registration for this summer school is now open

On the first day of summer school, the theme will be placed in the broader societal reflection on sustainable development. This day will cover the sociological, economic and legal aspects, as well as the concepts of the circular economy and eco-design, to explain the challenges and levers for innovation.
During the other days the diversity of techniques developed by scientists to analyse, preserve and repair the environment and ecosystems, and to understand the degree of mastery, progress and scope of these different techniques, will be presented.
